With the cool Spring and wet conditions, the cherries are not ripening as quickly as they usually do. Because of that, we will NOT be opening the cherry orchards until July 12th. July 12th and 13th will be the first cherry picking weekend this year. The main barn will be open on July 5th with the Smoke House and Donut Shop but cherry picking will NOT start until Saturday, July 12th.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause - We just can’t control Mother Nature!

The cherry crop this year looks good! The weather has been a little cool so the cherries may not ripen as quickly as they have in the past. We will open on July 5th for cherry picking but the best weekend might be July 12th & 13th. Watch this blog as July approaches so you have the very latest information!

Cherries are in bloom! The changes are amazing - each day brings more blossoms out. It could be a very big crop this year if we keep getting good weather.

The cherry trees are showing signs of the blossom now. It’s an exciting time of year where we begin to anticipate the crop of cherries for July. We hope now for a little warmer temperatures to be sure we don’t get a frost that damages the crop. But so far, things look good!

We’ve had a long winter but it seems that spring has finally arrived. We see the leaves starting to appear on the apple and cherry trees and it is looking very nice! Once the blossoms start on the trees, we will have a better idea of when the fruit will begin to ripen. The first fruits will be the red-tart cherries. We will open on July 5th, 2008 but we’re not sure when the cherries will be at their peak of ripeness. We will continue to post information here so check back! And Welcome to Spring!
